Thomas E. Lacy Jr. received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He joined the Aerospace Engineering faculty in 2003. Dr. Lacy is a Fellow of ASME and an Associate Fellow of AIAA. He is the President of the American Society for Composites.
Dr. Lacy’s interests include computational solid mechanics, multiscale materials modeling, micromechanics, fracture mechanics, fatigue, durability and damage tolerance, composite materials, continuum damage mechanics, and structural dynamics.
